Are you a writer looking for mass exposure? Do you like making tons of money? Do you know what “get lost” means? I have decided to open up Voting for Kodos to new writers because, well, I just don’t have the ability to put as much on here as I’d like. Realistically, I want to bring on 2-3 writers that post once or twice a week.
The idea is that Voting for Kodos is for anything—it doesn’t have to be sports, but it doesn’t have to be not-sports either. It can be pop culture, social commentary, hot takes, lukewarm takes, a listicle, or just a recipe for cooking your grandma’s secret pumpkin pie (don’t actually post that recipe, it’s a secret you idiot).
The compensation I am offering is nothing, and the exposure is little. What I can promise you is that I’ll tweet out your article at least one time (probably more) to my 5,000-plus Twitter followers. If, for some reason, Google decides to start paying me more than pennies, I will share any created revenue appropriately among writers. If you’re interested, send an email to me (email@example.com) with the following info:
*Your writing background.
*What topics you feel competent to write about (you don’t have to be an expert, just have an opinion that you can back up).
*How often you feel you could contribute.
*A sample story, about 200-300 words, written about anything. Make it short, interesting, and to the point. It could be a mini-soapbox rant or just a funny story you know. Just make it yours and in your own voice, and don’t copy anything someone else has done or said.
I look forward to probably rejecting all of you and ending up with no new writers.
